My Mom is disabled and lives with us in Indiana. She received a bill from American Profit Recovery on behalf of Scotts Lawnservice for $200. I called them and they needed her permission to speak to me on her account... that doesn't even exist. Spoke to Andre Hayes who informed me she had not paid on her bill since May 2011, leaving a balance of $200. He also informed me the address of service was on Vine St. in Cincinnati, OH. I told him she lives with us and doesn't even have a lawn! He said they are a 3rd party collection service for Scotts Lawnservice and that they handed over this bill when the address came back as no good. I told him I'm sure it did (if you look at a google map it is all businesses in the city.) He did a skip-trace and said you are right, she hasn't lived at that address before. He also said he would pull her file and throw it out and put a cease and desist on it. Don't like the fact that Scotts Lawnservice is trying to bill my Mom for something she has never used, and then hand over the debt to collections. I have no idea who is ripping people off exactly, if it's this place or the lawncare company, but beware!!! He told me I could call Scotts Corp office at 888-872-6887.
