On July 18, 2011 a meat vendor was selling meat in our neighborhood from American Choice Beef and Seafood. He came to our door and showed us the meat. The meat was vacumm sealed and the pieces looked like they would taste great when prepared. The sales person claimed this was Angus Beef and many restaurants around the area bought from them. He stated the company has been in business 12 years and that in the past they sold only to restaurants and other establishments but wanted to expand the business and start selling to residential customers. The meat cost 280.00 for two cases and initially looked like good meat. On July, 19th we barbequed a bacon wrap filet and there was a lot of grizzled in the meat. All three pieces were disgusting. The following day we made sirloin hamburges. The meat was so finely grounded it had no consistency and once again tasted awful. Our salesman had said that if for any reason we did not like the meat to put it in baggies and keep, call him and let him know and he would pick up the baggies and get us an exchange or a full refund, which he put on the receipt. I followed his instructions and on 6/24 he came by the house, picked up the meat and said we would be getting a full refund of our 280.00. Since then I have not heard from him again. I have made numerous calls to him with no response. I have called the company phone number and spoken with John but have had no response. He asaid he would have Josh call me, but there has been no phone call.It turns out the company has no business license in Anaheim, the address for the business is an apartment complex, and the company has only been around since 2008. This company is a scam and I want my money back.
