All United Van Lines BEWARE of this company total ripoff Chatsworth, California

I booked this company several weeks ago. They were supposed to pickup my household goods on Thursday 8/4. Two hours before their expected arrival they called and said they couldn't come until Saturday. I explained that this would not work because I had sold my home, it was closing on Friday and I had to be out by them. I already had a hotel booked for the night. I told them I would have to call them back. I made some phone calls to work things out the then in hind site I starting reading reviews of this company and was horrified at what I read. This seems to be a common practice for them. And in many cases they up the price and hold your furniture hostage. I was able to find another company that will pick up Saturday. When I called back All United Vanlines I talked to the manager "Kevin" told him to cancel the move & how disappointed and angry I was he told me I could not get my deposit back because I was the one that cancelled. If there is a class action suite I want to be part of it! This is nothing but a scam company & I plan to file as many complaints as I can. Not only did I lose my deposit but also the cost of a hotel room and now I have to pay rent while I stay here.
