This company steals your car...and personal belongings!!!! I was involved in a car accident and when the tow truck driver (Aaron) showed up, he immediately put my car on the tow truck before talking to me. I explained that I was calling my own tow truck and did not want his services. He ignored me, threw his business card on the ground when I asked where he was taking it. I tried to get my belongings out of the car and he yelled at me telling me that I can not get in my car or take any of my belongings. When talking to the cop at the scene, he says that the tow company is contracted with the Denver Police Department and told me I can't call my own tow truck and pretty much "tough titty" on getting anything out of the vehicle. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!? The tow truck driver then took off with my car. I called the company to figure out how to get my stuff back and of course Aaron (the driver) answered the phone. He hung up on me three times when trying to get any information on anything and told me I was harassing him. He did tell me I have to pay $140 to get my personal belongings back and to call the next day before hanging up on me again. I called to next day to see what I needed to do to get my stuff and Don answered the phone. He proceeded to tell me it was going to be $210 if I picked up that day (not even 24 hours after the accident and the impound lot was closed when the accident happened so there was no way to not be charged a storage fee) as I was being charged the storage fee. When I questioned the higher amount of money he immediately got defensive, told me "this is a business and that's that". He said he was contracted with the police department and if I want my stuff back, I pay $210 at minimum. Then he hung up on me as well. Wow!! Some company!! After googling this company, I realize no one is happy with these theives and apparently since they are "contracted with the Denver Police Department" they feel it's right to steal your stuff...but hey...I guess if the cop tells the driver to steal then it must be ok... Stealing is illegal, HOW IS THIS LEGAL?!?!?!? |
