We purchased the Accupos Software in Summer of 2011. We were sold a huge pile of crap. We too, (see other complaint) purchased the hardware from another source that ACCUPOS had recommended. We simply found it cheaper. The system crashed repeatedly, locked up, froze and never went one day without a complete re-boot to get it back up and running so we could accept customers money. This usually happened at our busiest times. They do not have tech support 24/7-in fact, we routinely waited an hour to hour and a half for someone to answer our calls (all while not being able to ring up our customers)- Often, messages were left and we had to wait for a return call. We were told/sold the software would be tailored to our Wine/ Spirits business, it was not. The "custom" screen was definitely designed by someone who had NEVER spent 10 minutes in retail. Too many screens, not enough proper options on main screen. (We were told we could fix this after purchase via Accupos computer programmer.) The software doesn't even have a count option of items!!!!! (let alone a total before the "pay" screen.) As for tech support, A joke. Period. Rude, totally clueless, condesending and incompetent. Don't dare ask for Anthony, when he finds out you know more than him about software/hardware configuration, he will probably hang up on you. They blamed the hardware (that they recommended) on the issues, I can assure you, our hardware works flawlessly with our new software. We removed Accupos after a year-it was a total loss financially. Accupos never upheld the terms of the support contract and actually wanted to charge us, when problems (that they never fixed) remained problematic after our year contract. Why would they charge if they couldn't fix them in the first place? The staff at our store has over 150 years of combined restaurant/retail/bar experience and we all agree this was the absolute worst POS system that we had ever tried to use. Also, after being told we could use any Merchant Services, we found out (2 days before we went live) we had one option with a processor. Really????? Accupos is a rip off, DON'T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. |
