Absolute Comfort AC & Heating Misdiagnosed problem which cost me $5K! Houston, Texas

Absolute Comfort misdiagnosed my a/c problem and sold me an evaporator coil that I did not need (and charged me a whopping $2,400). Their own documentation had enough information to convince my new a/c contractor that the evaporator coil was never the problem. Plus, that because obvious when the a/c problems persisted after the new coil was installed. Additionally, I now know that pressure readings taken by Absolute Comfort after the coil was installed indicated that same day that the problem was not fixed, yet they left it that way anyway. Because Absolute Comfort left my a/c functioning improperly, my compressor burned up long before its time. That cost me another $2750 to replace. (I didn't use Absolute Comfort for that service.) It took the new contractor 2 full days to undo the damage left behind by Absolute Comfort (fortunately they didn't charge me for the additional labor but another consumer might not be so lucky). Absolute Comfort made 4 different trips to my house and did not send the same repairman each time. This convinces me that dishonest practices I experienced were not limited to a single employee. For you own sake, please do not use Absolute Comfort.

WARNING Our Ac unit was frosting so we called doctor plumber and they came out and looked at the unit and told us that it need 15 lb of R-22 or whatever is used today they charged us $1000 and guaranteed the system for one year. It didn't work for one week. After several phone calls someone came out and said it needed a new compressor and I asked would this fix the problem, cause I don't want to throw any more money into this unit. " absolutely and we guarantee this system for up to a year and the compressor for 10 yr" They charged me$ 2800. It worked for 2 days now there telling me I need a new unit and their not returning phone calls. Why can't people just do a job and do it well? This sucks.
