Abandoned Vehicle Enforcement
Abandoned Vehicle Enforcement Auto Yard, Ripped Off Not 1-2 but 3 times Fort Worth , Texas
4th of Feb, 2011 by
On the 14th day of September, 2010 my 1995 GMC pickup was stolen from an apartment in Euless where a friend lives. After many call's, I found my pickup at a storage lot in Fort Worth, it had been towed from a parking lot of an apartment complex, and it was going to cost me $249.80 to get it back.

First off the new law's that went into effect last year and administered by the Texas Department of Licencing and Regulations, section 2308.253 deal's with tow's from apartment parking lots. (3)state's that 10 days notice must be given "in person" or sent "certified mail", before a vehicle is towed, it was not.

When I requested a hearing, before a JP I was told, by the JP "that law did not apply to me because I did not live there". So you've got towing companies stealing vehicle's, and JP's letting them get away with it.
