A Plus Plumbing Improper or inferrior plumbing service Martinsburg, West Virginia |
25th of Apr, 2013 by User351808 |
On 318/13 A Plus plumbing sent a plumber over to check out my plumbing which would occasionally backup into my shower drain and around my toilet. The plumber snaked the clean out in the crawl space under my house and in front of the house. After several hours he called the County Sewer Department who he watched snake the line out to the street for 2 hours. The plumber claimed the issue was with on the county owned sewer line and left. The county personnel left after about 30 minutes and said to call them back if there were any issues. Several times during the next month we noticed the plumbing was slow to drain and would occasionally backup.!wasn't sure what to do since the County indicated the issue was in the house and A Plus plumbing indicated it was a County issue. On 4/10/13 the sewage severely backed up into my shower and around the bottom of my toilet and into my carpeted hallway. I called A Plus plumbing and Tony told me their was nothing else they could do. He recommended that I call the County Sewer dept. The County Sewer department came out again and snaked and flushed the line out with water. This did not resolve the issue. On 4/14/131 called a different plumbing company. The plumber came out two days later at 9pm, removed the toilet (on the affected bathroom) and snaked the line. He was able to snake through a clog and we've had no plumbing issues since then. If A Plus plumbing had done their due diligence and snaked the bathroom toilet line to begin with, I wouldn't have had plumbing issues that lasted over a month. Not only were they incompetent but they also charged me for 2 hours to watch the County employees work and $100 to bring the sewer snake (which is standard equipment for any plumber). Also, this company is located in the same city as I am in and they charged me a $10 fuel charge, which I also feel is unreasonable. The owner of the business refuses to provide any type of refund of the exorbitant $620.10 charge which resulted in no resolution of my plumbing issues.
