2K Computer Solutions Owner: Michael Gill A Terrible Experience! Chantilly, Virginia |
1st of Oct, 2011 by User311428 |
I hired Michael Gill of 2K Computer Solutions to create a website for me. He said he would provide a project timeline and meet my deadlines. He did neither of those. I had to email him files 3-4 times because he wound up offshoring the development work and the person he outsourced to produced work full of grammatical errors, development mistakes and nothing worked. Michael, himself, is a very nice guy, but the work his people produces is TERRIBLE. I also could not get him to use an online file sharing option which meant that every time we spoke about things wrong with the site, he would ask me to email him files, which I wound up having to do many times. And sometimes he would not send the files to the developer or just send files, but not my comments, so things were never done correctly. After 5 months of this, I finally just paid my bill and asked him for the work produced to date. The site design was horrible, features didn't work, and there were typos throughout the site. I would have gotten something better by going to a high school kid. Now I'm paying more than half of what I paid Michael for the site to another developer to fix all of the things wrong with the site that Michael's company couldn't finish. When I hired him off of Guru.com, he had glowing reviews. Now that I want to write my own review on Guru, but his profile is gone. Buyer beware. |

This seems to be the same complaint that is here http://www.ripoffreport.com/directory/2K-Computer-Solutions.aspx Seems to be spidering over the internet now. Anyway I'll leave the same comments I left on ripoffreport.com
I'm Mike the owner. The bottomline is we didn't provide this client what they wanted. We are 100% to blame. I should of took over the work and done the work 100% myself. I wish we could of worked out a solution to make this client happy. While I'd rather this have been posted on my guru profile, which was never shutdown/removed, I do believe we deserved this review that the client has given.
One thing I do vehemently deny though is that I sent the work to be done offshore. I did have one of my programmers take over the work which I told the client, but none of my workers are overseas. All my programmers are in the US. |

Wow, this sounds very familiar...my story:
***BEWARE***STAY AWAY*** Michael C. Gill is a freelance website designer who lied and deceived me to secure a $32, 000 website design contract. He then delivered an absolute horrible product that was neither functional, professional, or to any specification that we agreed upon. I had to start from scratch after dealing with him for 5 months. He took $16, 000 of my money and gave me absolutely nothing in return. I’m currently in litigation with the individual.
He misrepresented his company stature, competency, financial strength, and workforce to secure this contract. Stating things like “I have a multi-million dollar business”, “I have 40+ programmers working for me”, “I’m 100% confident I can build your project”. I paid more than double for my project, compared to the next bid, because of his representation and confidence to deliver a product in a very fast time frame. We mutually agreed to all terms, which are well documented.
I found out he is a one man show with limited skills, knowledge, unprofessional, unorganized, and just a very conniving and scheming individual. He said he could do my project in 1 month and after 4 months into the project he then claims he can’t do it. He never should me any progress. He never did what I told him. I told him I wanted my money back and he said “he doesn’t give money back”. He claimed he had $50 to his name and would email me his bank statements to prove it. I am currently in litigation with VZL Computing/ Michael Gill. I have all the supporting documents to my claims that will be presented in the lawsuit. Please contact me if you would like proof on my claims ([email protected]). I learned a hard lesson dealing with him; please don’t make the same mistake. |
