Apparently my adult son may owe someone for whom this "business" is collecting. He does not live with me, nor has he for many years. I understand that he may have provided my telephone number as a contact number to them. My husband and I have superb credit and do not owe anyone. They call at LEAST one time a day. I have spoken with them on one occassion and explained that he does not live here, this is not his phone number nor has it ever been, it has been my phone number for over 16 years. I tried to tell this to the woman who called, but she was incredibly rude, talking right over me. I agreed to give him the information one time, but requested that she not call my number again. Again, she very loudly talked over me. I became agitated myself and told her that if she called again I would, in compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Act, report her to the Federal Trade Comission and our state attorney general. She LAUGHED, and said, "Oh you will, will you?" She then hung up on me. They continue to call, but I do not take their calls anymore. I guess I am going to have to take my time and follow through and report this company. What jerks! And they obviously do not care to abide by the law.
