Medicredit Corp. Collecting on Inflated Bill, Columbia, Missouri |
14th of Dec, 2010 by User668211 |
Medicredit Corp. claims to be the assignee of a debt that was charged off by Community Health Center over 5 years ago. Medicredit has never validating this debt as being accurate. There is a statute of limitations that has ended that disallows Medicredit Corp. to even collect on this debt or sue on this alleged debt of $121.00, although they still report this debt inaccurately to the three credit bureaus, thus injuring me. The problem I have is that when I visited the doctor, I told "Community Health Center" the original creditor in Burlington, Iowa I had no income at the time and because of that, they were suppose to charge me a minimal fee of $25.00 for the visit. Instead they charged me $121.00 for this doctors visit. When that bill was never paid of $25.00, they assigned this debt for more than what I should have been charged for & allegedly assigned this debt to Medicredit Corp. who is now trying to collect on an unlawful debt of $121.00. Community Health Center has never told me what they received as consideration and payment for this debt they assigned to Medicredit Corp., as both Community Health Center (original creditor) & Medicredit Corp. (collection agency), refuse to give me this material information. This information is vital as it should act as a credit towards payment of my real bill of $25.00. Community Health Center gets monies paid towards their services on low or "no income clients" from the Federal Government and through insurance programs. So for the original creditor to get fees from the government and excessively overcharge is pure fraud. Community Health Center knows my income status as it's in their records. Despite this, Community Health Center assigned an inflated and untrue bill to the collection agency, Medicredit Corp. I believe Community Health Center in West Burlington, IA, and Medicredit Corp. are in collusion together in representing false information on bills. If Medicredit Corp.paid no monies for this debt, there was no consideration tendered, thus no legal contract exists, which makes Medicredit Corp. an imposter trying to collect on a bill they have no legal rights to collect upon. However, if Medicredit Corp. paid a fee to Community Health Center for this debt, I certainly never got credit on the bill for this. Either way, there is fraud going on. Medicredit Corp. is ruining my credit rating by reporting false information on what I owe to the 3 credit bureaus and refusing to fix this, by deleting untrue information, thus injuring my credit. I now have damages in excess of the bill that is claimed as being owed against Medicredit Corp., and Community Health Center. I am willing to release my claims if the negative entry by Medicredit Corp. is expunged from my three credit reports.
