Zagg Inc Scam. Unauthorized Charges. Poor Customer Service. Poor Shipping/Handling. Salt Lake City, Utah |
14th of Nov, 2010 by User608063 |
Zagg shields have a lifetime warranty. I requested a new shield from their website and received the wrong item entirely. They sent me a back cover instead of a screen cover. I notified them by email of the mistake and returned the item.
A couple months went by and I heard nothing. Today I received an email stating that they never received their screen back in the mail and that my card has been charged the full price of $18.99. I'm very unhappy and am hoping to get my information removed from their database to prevent anymore unauthorized charges. |

Okay, I've got some satisfaction!! After reading about the scam going on, I sent Zagg the following message:
Upon doing some research on the internet, I can see that many people receive this reply from ZAGG and it appears that you have somewhat of a scam going on and send this reply out to lots of customers who request a warranty replacement.
I can assure you that if you charge my credit card I will be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge and directing them to the numerous complaints that I've found on the internet about this little scam you have going on, as well as lodging a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Best Buy, where I bought the product to begin with.
Sincerely,
And within a few hours I received the following reply from Zagg:
Dear valued customer,
We have received the return of your original invisibleSHIELD, and would like to thank you for mailing it in a timely fashion. Accordingly, the credit or debit card you provided during the replacement process will not be charged for invisibleSHIELD order XXXXXXXXX.
We hope you enjoy your new invisibleSHIELD, and we look forward to helping you again in the future.
