I brought Cameron at Xtreme Gaming my overheating XBOX 360 for repair a few months ago. I was under the impression they were the best repair service around or so they say, supposedly professional with THOUSANDS of dollars worth of equipment and 100 happy customers a week serviced. I walked in with my XBOX and the first thing I noticed were two other customers who were complaining about their repairs. One had a playstation complaint and another an iPhone repair that was going on two weeks with no results. I dropped my console off then went home with a promise of one day repair time. A week later I get a call that my console can't be fixxed for one reason or another And I need to pick it up. Keep in mind before I dropped it off it had video and started, just would overheat after a an hour or so of playing. So I went in to pick it up and the first thing I noticed was the case looked different, I was told it was red ring now and can never be repaired. So I asked are you sure this is my xbox it was only overheating now it's dead forever? Yep this ones yours, and oh, by the way the service charge is $35 how would you like to pay? I kindly informed her thy nothing was repaired and I wouldn't pay a penny for any diagnostic services. I took my console and left. So I go home and looked into how to take it apart, I did so and noticed a few things. 1) the serial on the back was not matching my DVD drive. 2)the date on the back was 2009, I bought my xbox in 2007. So I called them up again and spoke to the owner to ask if they got my console mixed up with another and he promised there was nothing he could do and they were sure he had the right console. I then went to the shop threatening legal action pending the return of MY XBOX that has MY serial number on it (thank God I knew my serial #) I don't know who's it was that he gave me this one is definitely not mine either, but it works so some poor chap is missing his XBOX like I was. I was two second away from calling the police and I suggest anyone needing any sort of electronics repair beware of Xtreme Gaming. |
