World Wide Van LInes Chris Nordee Moving Company RIPPED OFF ITEMS STOLEN Lewes, Delaware

World Wide Van Lines is a scam company. I say this because I schedule a state to state move through them Feb 2011. My daughter was moved from Cleveland to Maryland. The price quoted was increased by a phone call to me several hours after they picked up her belongings from storage. The representative indicated the load was weighed and was over the weight quoted therefore and additional $350 would be due at delivery. Although the representative I scheduled with assuremd me they did not broker jobs out, that is exactly what occurred. The actual carrier was an unprofessional troup of three short african-jamaican men. They provided no paper work or inventory after they picked the items up. They were 8 hours late to deliver my belongings. They demanded money in case before unloading, and did not finish the job. Over a third of her belongings are missing, including clothes, shoes, purses, dishes, Easter Star regalia, etc. The couch was left in the lobby of the building, they complained it would not fit on the elevator. They did not tell me they were leaving, just left. Unfrotunately my couch remained inthe looby overnight and was damaged(someone spilled something on it). My friend and building personnel assisted with getting the couch to my apt. the next day, which did fit in the elevator!!. I sent the necessary claims forms and still have heard nothing from them. I was assured by the Manager from World Wide that they would be sendint the information to the carrier and he would have to file it with his insurance company. They have not provided me any information about the carriere only his name and a cell phone number. Repeated calls to him have resulted in nothing. Calls now are just going to voice mail. Although the World Wide Van Lines claims form state they are responsible to provide me the contact information and insurance information on the carrier they have not done so. I feel they are unprofessional and do not tell the truth about what they actual are, why you pay them the $289.95 and who will acutally be moving you and what their procedures are.
