Purchased an Invicta 6509 watch from world of watches - it was a gift so it wasn't opened for almost a month - upon opening found that the watch battery was dead- was told by "Charlene" we can't guarantee how long a watch battery will last. So, I spent 10.00 and went to local jeweler and had it replaced only to find that the watch "stops" and doesn't keep good time. So I contacted Charlene again at World Of Watches who had me send a 10.00 money order to cover cost of return shipping and I told her the make/model and date of purchase - so she knew it was an Invicta watch. Two weeks later i get the watch back - i was like wow - great turn around- only to find a note from Charlene that the watch wasn't fixed - and it needs to be sent directly to Invicta (which is in the same town as world of watches) why she didn't send to them or why they don't stand behind their policies is why i am writing today - so i spent 10.00 on a new battery it cost 11.00 to ship FEDEX to the repair facility- 10.00 for return shipping so far it has cost me an extra 31.00 and i have a watch that doesn't work. and will cost me another 25.00 for invicta to fix it. I did what charlene directed me to do. I am sure that it didn't cost them 10.00 to ship it back to me from a commercial site. so they made money on the shipping ripped me off by not fixing it. sold a defective watch and totally wasted my time and money. Do yourselves a favor shop elsewhere for watches. This place is a ripoff. and Charlene doesn't even know her own companies policies, after i paid the 10.00 for a new battery i read in their warrranty information that they guarantee batteries for 1 year from date of purchase. No - Charlene doesn't and seeing as she answers the emails, and writes the notes on repair orders i think it is a much smaller operation than they would like most to believe. I will never do business with them again, but if you want to get the run around and get sold a piece of garbage watch that is supposed to be worth 1800. then by all means give them your business. I won't. |
