We put a deposit down on a show quality female pup from Byron Villaverde of Woodland Hills Ranch Labradors, in good faith! We had no idea he was a con man. He promoised my son a show pup and showed us photos of 2 females, we were more partial to a yellow collared female, but Byron insisted the orange collar female was exactly what we wanted and what we were looking for he assured us, she was the pup we wanted. We "paypal'd" Byron a $207.00 deposit to hold this orange collared female for us! We hadn't heard from him for weeks, my calls all went unanswered, and none of my emails were returned... I had asked for more photos and updates,as we were all curious how our pup was doing.... Finally I sent an email stating I was feeling extremely uncomfortable and was worried we were being scammed. He immediately responded to that email and said his phone and computer had all been out of service for over 2 weeks (yet after an inquiry to the phone company there were no reported problems in that area!) He assured me he wasn't a scam artist and promised to immediately send more photos that day! He also demanded final payment. I told him without seeing more photos I was not sending any more money to him. He put on the high pressure at that point, stating everyone else has paid in full.... Again I refused to send more money without more photos of our puppy. A few days later he got around to sending more photos... I asked to see more photos of the yellow collared girl, as we really liked her.. He said NO, this orange collared girl is the pup for you. I trusted him and paypal'd our final payment of $1,340.00 to Byron Villaverde. I was promised more photos the next week and we never got them, again we hadn't heard from him and then late Sunday night, just 5 days before our puppy is to be shipped to us, he sends an email stating that after much debate "HE" decided the orange puppy wasn't for us after all... and that the blue collar puppy was, and he just changed the collars to make it simple for both of the people getting their puppy and that we should be quite happy with her. First of all WE should have had the choice to switch pups or not..NOT Byron! And, 2nd of all the blue collar puppy is ugly and not at all what we were looking for or wanting! He now has advertised this blue collar pup on his website, so I know he gave someone else our puppy! He is unethical and a con artist. He has refused to refund our money. He does not call, and he has refused to make right on the money he owes us. His website sounds professional, and on the up and up.. yet he is just another internet scam artist taking advantage of people on the internet and ripping off poor innocent families! |
