Wilkes Technologies Sterling Wilkes This company is holding my home alarm system hostage after dropping them due to LOUSY service Delran, New Jersey |

September 4, 2011 - Wilkes Technologies (aka Security by Wilkes Tech) repaired and serviced my alarm system for several years leaving me with a system that rarely worked. Service calls would often take weeks to be responded to and return calls were non-existent. I recently fulfilled my monitoring contract with a mid-west company called Monitronics. Monitronics hired Wilkes Technologies of NJ to service my alarm system. I was instructed by Monitronics upon fulfillment of my 3 year to contact Mr. Sterling Wilkes of Wilkes Technologies (aka Security by Wilkes Tech) to obtain the needed code numbers that would allow service to be rendered on my alarm system. Numerous calls have gone unanswered; e-mails to Mr. Sterling Wilkes of Wilkes Technologies (aka Security by Wilkes Tech) have been ignored including a certified letter which was returned undeliverable after several delivery attempts. Mr. Wilkes is wholly aware I am trying to contact him and his company but has chosen to hold by security system hostage! Without these codes my complete alarm and fire system that I paid thousands of dollars for is useless and cannot be serviced or repaired. I have been listening to the alarm beeping out warning codes of the many systems that are failing including my fire alarm system 24 hours a day for months now. Mr. Sterling Wilkes, the owner of this company cares little for my safety in the event of a fire or robbery and likely will not care about yours either. Mr. Wilkes of Wilkes Technologies (aka Security by Wilkes Tech) refuses to as much as return my calls, e-mails or answer my letters. Mr. Wilkes and Wilkes Technologies (aka Security by Wilkes Tech) has put my Wife, Daughter, 5 dogs (including two therapy dogs in training), 3 cats and numerous turtles in imminent danger, as my fire alarm system is in desperate need of service and will likely not work in the event of a fire! Take warning If you are considering an alarm system or any type service work from Mr. Sterling Wilkes of Wilkes Technologies (aka Security by Wilkes Tech) your alarm system will be password protected and you WILL NOT get these codes if needed and your system will be rendered useless. I would very highly recommend you seek out a different alarm company. |

Try 1759, I assume he uses the same number on all installs. Good luck. I have had the same problem with return phone calls. Glad I got my code before he left. Thanks for your post or I may not have done so. |

Hi, James W.,
As previously stated, we regret any miscommunication or confusion that occurred during the servicing of your residential alarm system back in 2009.
A member of our team reached out to you soon after reading your Yelp review, dated 4/13/2014. Information was taken down and our office performed an investigation, in an effort, to assist you in resolving the matter. Once the investigation was complete, the same team member attempted to make contact with you again on various phone lines, however, they were unsuccessful. Messages were also left, but as of today, no calls have been returned for us to discuss our findings in detail with you.
Our investigation, however, did provide us with the following information:
Your alarm system was installed by Stone Alarms, a company based out of Orange, California -- So, when you write that your system was "fraught with problems" during your 3-yr tenure, Wilkes Technologies LLC had nothing to do with the installation of your alarm security system. You were only introduced to Wilkes Technologies LLC after you contacted Monitronics and requested that someone come out to your home to service your Stone Alarms security system.
As a service subcontractor for Monitronics, once the work is completed by us, Monitronics is then notified and the service ticket is closed out. All follow-up service requests are handled directly by Monitronics, in which, they will re-create a service ticket for another subcontractor to come out to your home/business to complete.
In response to your complaint about system codes -- since you are a Monitronics customer, any system codes would have to be released by Monitronics, not by Wilkes Technologies LLC. Wilkes Technologies LLC has nothing to do with your Monitronics account other than to service it when a ticket is created by Monitronics and forwarded to our office for completion.
Our #1 goal is to provide excellent customer service -- Hopefully, this information was of some use to you!
If you would like to become a customer of Wilkes Technologies LLC, we invite you to contact our office at (800) 544-5908, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM or you can visit us online at securitybywilkestech.com!
Thanks,
Jennifer W |
