Wilburn Auto Body They Had My Car for TWO MONTHS!!!!! Matthews, North Carolina

Wilburn Auto Body had my car for two months. I received excuse after excuse as to why it was not repaired. It got to the point where they did not even return my phone calls. Several excuses were that the parts were not in, the wrong parts came in, the parts were actually in and he didn't know why it was not fixed. This car had been stolen but recovered the following day needing a steering column, back window and left front tire. After several weeks I actually felt it necessary to go and see if the car was even there! I took pictures of the interior, what a mess. It had been sitting out in a field with the broken window and cobwebs. This car had not been touched! Thankfully I noticed several of my personal items still in the car but was not offered to take them with me and silly me, never having been in this situation I thought they would have the brains to at least put the items in the trunk. When I picked up the car up two months later (by the way, they never offered me a rental) two dashboard knobs were missing, no note as to why, if they were on order, absolutely no communication. Also noticed on the bill that I had been charged $220 for towing and storage, which I had already paid to the original place the police had the car towed to. Was told to call the insurance adjuster, the insurance adjuster told me I had to talk to Wilburn, etc. It took several weeks to be reimbursed for this. When I got the car home none of my personal items were in the car, nothing! I spoke to Wilburn about the missing items (which I mentioned I had taken pictures of when I came to look at the car) and they said they would look for the items. They had put all of my floor mats in the trunk and they were wet and musty, they had to be thrown out, along with the car cover that had also gotten wet and musty from the mats. Wrote a letter asking for reimbursement, ignored. Filed a complaint with BBB. Please avoid this place at all cost, many complaints against this facility.
