Scammers trying to collect legal claim from old tenants for Hurricane Irene water damage

Wilber Lane Law Firm of Bloomington, IL has been sending me letters and harassing me about alleged water damage to an apartment in New Jersey in August of 2011. They claim it was caused by a leaking shower in the unit above. Couldn't have been me, I moved out in 2009. And guess what Wilber Lane Law Firm of Bloomington, IL, in August of 2011 here in New Jersey in the county of that apartment, we had 19 inches of rain for the month. EIght inches in just one day at the peak of Hurrican Irene,
Someone fooled them or their client into paying for the water damage claim, so now Wilber Lane Law Firm is trying to collect from me, even though I haven't lived there for three years!
I called them when I received the first letter from them and told them there was no factual basis for their claim, but they keep writing, keep calling, keep harassing me.
Horrible people.
Wilber Lane Law Firm of Bloomington, IL deserves to have a poor reputation, they are unethical, dishonest, devious people.

Getting the same letter from Wilber Lane Law Firm. There was no explanation of the damages that occurred or any details of the incident. And furthermore, I don't even live there. I've been ignoring the letters. It sounds like a scam and I'm wondering if they are trying to get more info out of me once I call them. I live in CA and why would anybody try hiring a lawyer in IL if they want to cover damages. They could just go to small claims court if this is a valid claim.

He continually breaks the law by harassing people with knowingly false and downright fraudulent claims. They are incredibly rude. The person who i was speaking to to handle the claim put forth to me was incredibly rude and obviously emotionality unfit for her job. Arguin g and trating me with disrespect. i did no such thing to make her treat me with this sort of unprofessional behavior.
