When I took me and my son's computer towers in for fixing, I was told $45 for mine, $125 for my son's. I had no problem with this. I was phoned by an Info Age employee to let me know I had a virus, I said to remove it. I knew I was paying $45, of course I'd say remove it. Unfortunately, I ended up paying $199 for this "clean up procedure". I was NEVER informed of this additional expense. I had no problem paying the originally told fees.

I've been there in the past, and had no complaints. This time, after having to pay over $300 to get my towers back (both of which were kept in the back until I paid in full), I questioned the amount. Told them I was never told about the add'l $199 and that I was not happy about being kept in the dark.

The man who came to the front (after having a feud with his mother on the phone and was in NO mood), I informed I was not happy about this. Asked him what was removed from my computer, because the tech who worked on my machine was unable to tell me. The man behind the desk's reply was "well bring in your tower and I can tell you". I asked, why would the tech who did it not know? His reply "oh, he wouldn't". Um,ok. I asked if I brought back in my tower, if I was going to be compensated for the inconvenience...his reply was "absolutely not".

I saw the paperwork where the tech who did the work wrote "approved" and underlined multiple times. This was their covering their rear that I approved the virus removal. However, this paper that they submitted to the BBB was clearly tampered with. Not only did this paperwork now have the tech's signature, but it also stated "199.00". From my complaint, they learned where they messed up! What did they do? Fixed the problems and submitted it to the BBB. Unfortunately, the BBB dropped it.

I have been a very good customer to this company and I am extremely saddened to see how they have treated me. I have spent a lot of money with them over the past several years. This time however, I had a problem paying for something I was never informed of. I want back the difference that I did NOT approve, and that amount (difference) is $154.99. Had I been informed of the additional cost, I would've declined at that time due to low funds. Must feed my kids 1st!

I've got other complaints from others also, in regards to this company. Basically that they don't know what they're doing, hence the reason people seek computer help elsewhere. Plus, their prices are outrageous!

I was not informed of the price difference. I was not informed of anything removed from my computer (until after they saw my complaint to the BBB). I was not asked if I wanted them to reinstall FREE programs I could've done myself...that is on their paperwork one must originally sign.

They did a complete cover up to save their own rear ends, AFTER they read my complaint to the BBB. Because they have a high rating with the BBB, the BBB drops the case?! Even after it's obvious the change in paperwork? They ONLY have a high rating with the BBB because nobody cares to take the time to complain to someone like the BBB because they know it's a waste of their time. I however have heard nothing positive about Information Age from fellow towns people.

Someone needs to let these men know that they do not walk on water and that their cover ups have been caught! I have no problem with the $45 and $125 I spent. That is what I was informed of. However, I want back what I was NOT told about, and that was the difference of $154.99. P.S.)What they offered my for my troubles? A $45 credit on my next additional PURCHASE with them! As if.
