Stumpf, John Brief Biography Mr. John G. Stumpf serves as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo & Co., since January 2010. Mr. Stumpf has served as Chairman since December 2009, Chief Executive Officer since June 2007, and as President since August 2005. He also served as Chief Operating Officer from August 2005 to June 2007, and as Group Executive Vice President, Community Banking from July 2002 to August 2005. He earned his bachelors degree in finance from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota and his MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Minnesota.
