Wells Fargo is Ripping Off its Customers by delaying debit postings to cause NSF charges Internet, Internet |

Wells Fargo has already been caught and ordered by a Federal Judge to repay $203 million in NSF charges for posting the most expensive charges of the day first, regardless of what time of day they occured, so the account would overdraft before the lower debited amounts were processed. They could change one legitamite NSF charge into 10 NSF charges or more. Now they have a new scam. Wells Fargo delays posting some (not all, but enough) debit charges for a day or two, making the customer's balance appear larger than it really is. If the customer believes their false reporting of their balance and spends any of that inflated balance they later end up with NSF charges when Wells Fargo goes back to those days and posts those debits they delayed posting. Often, to those struggling in this economy who have a low balance, this scam of improper NSF charges can cause more NSF charges, sending the customer into a deep hole to climb out of. And, as always, Wells Fargo refuses to refund any charges if they have refunded any in the past, even if the past refund was due to their own fault. You need to print out your online transactions every day to have proof of it happening. To show that Wells Fargo goes back a day or two and inserts debits then resulting NSF charges. Wells Fargo cheating their own customers! HAVE YOU NO HONOR, NO RESPECT FOR DECENCY? YOUR IMMORAL, DISHONEST BEHAVIOR NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED, AND PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW TO AVOID BANKING WITH WELLS FARGO! Wells Fargo is preying on its poorer customers who are struggling to keep food on the table during this bad economy. I know its best to keep a buffer amount in the account to avoid this problem, but for many of us this just isn't possible at this time. We need every cent we make to survive. I hope this scam results in another Class Action Lawsuit against Wells Fargo. |
