Do not Trust Welldone Automotive when getting your next car please. I do not want anyone to end up in my situation, especially during these tough times and economic downs. It may be very well too late for this report to help me, but I hope I save at least one person from this dealership. In May of this year I purchased a used 2002 Buick Rendezvous from Welldone Auto Sales located on Styers Ferry Rd in Winston Salem, NC. The car seemed like an amazing deal for $5200 and right in my budget. I put down $3000 and made 10 payments for $300. First Isssue - No spare for the car. It was promised of course! They promised to find me a matching spare for the car within a week and even offered to loan me a car to use for out of town, since there was no spare tire in the case of a blow out. The first month went by and I hear every excuse in the book. Its now been 7 months and still no spare tire as promised. Although after 3 months of asking for it, they gave me a spare tire, that did not even fit the car. They put the spare in my trunk stating that they did not have the tools to put it on, only when i drove the spare to another shop they told me the tire was for a pick up truck and not for the car I had. Wasted time! Second Issue - Now having owned the car for 7 months, I decide to sell it to buy a smaller car for commuting to school. Money is tight and I could use the savings on gas! Well now I find out the car hs a salvage title and its worth barely half of what I paid for it. Of course it illegal to not inform a buyer that a car has a salvage title, but they took care of that little problem by having me sign off on a piece of paper that the car is salvage. NOTE - I had no idea what salvage is until this week when I had to reserach online just to learn what that meant. Yes, I was dumb to not read every line on every piece of the 50 sheets I had to sign. Are dealers not required to explain to a consumer??????? Ok so I took that as a loss, partly feeling stupid for not knowing these things or not taking someone with better knowledge with me. So I put the Car up for sale for only $4,000, at a loss of $2,500 in 7 months. Third Issue - I list the car for sale - But now its leaking antifreeze! Wow! I ant sell it now. I took it to the shop to get it looked at, the intake something is leaking and it costs $750 to repair. After discovering this today, my heart is shattered and now I am up past midnight unable to sleep, know Christmas is 11 days away, I have no transportation and no money to have the issue fixed. I still owe $900 on this car and cant even drive it. I am writing this complaint before even speaking with them on the intake issue, for I know I will only be met with excuses. Now school starts in January, I have no car to drive, if I sell the car I would still have to have it fixed and pay it off and I wont get nearly what i paid for the car, because of the Salvage title. Broke, Hear broken, and angry! I hope this report may reach one person in time to save them from the same heartache and pain - not to mention the wasted time and precious money. |
