Its bad enough the company uses unethical sales practices to convince consumers to agree to a contract that most would consider unconscionable, but what is even more appalling is that in fact the Attorney General of Utah can do nothing about the company because this is a considered "business" transaction and Utah consumer law does not apply to such transactions. What is worse though is there refund agreement which I have posted below: In consideration for fees refunded, you agree to dismiss any and all outstanding claims against FundingUniverse and agree that your contract with FundingUniverse has been mutually severed and that no breach of said contract has occurred. Additionally, you agree not to make any negative reports, defamatory or otherwise, to any third parties including internet websites, administrative bodies and other regulatory entities. If you dispute ANY charge made by Funding Universe on your credit card, or request a chargeback to your card for ANY charge made by Funding Universe, this refund agreement will be terminated and the original payment agreement with Funding Universe will be in full effect. Any dispute or chargeback action will also authorize Funding Universe to recover any original charge by any means including the charging of the total original agreement price to any credit card provided at any time during your relationship with Funding Universe. I think this is why we sell so few complaints against the company. Not because of their sparking clear business practices. The company uses hard sales tactics and pawns you off to so many different associates you will be confused in no time. My problem first came with the company when I asked them what they were in fact charging so much far and I was told the cost of even the alleged credit enhancement services couldn't not be explained as it was part of "package". I was at a later point told conflicting information. When I did tell them I didn't wanted to complete the transaction they didn't even bother to respond until I filed a charge back. Getting them on the phone can be like an obstacle course. I was told half was the best they could do since a charge back had been done and they processed both the credit services and the business plan and that even that was more than they felt like I deserved, but to get rid of me they were willing do me this favor. I requested numerous times to see the plan and reports showing alleged changes to my credit report and I have never received either one. I was later told I was demending too much from the company by requesting this !!!! |
