We contacted Black Mnt Furniture on 12/27/10 and spoke with Regina Boling to inquire about their ability to make some custom bar stools. After a conversation we agreed to email some pictures, they in turn would look at the pictures and let us know if this was something they could do and give us a price quote. Later the same day we received a call telling us that they could do this work and a price. We then agreed and paid a deposit of $187.25 which represented half of the total cost. We were told that it would take approximately three weeks and would pay the balance upon delivery. At this point everything was fine... the three week deadline arrived we place several calls to the Bolings which were unanswered at their place of business. We did however leave a message on the answering machine. Finally we called from a different phone number and Regina answered the phone, my husband asked her about the bar and was told by Ms. Boling that she would check on the status with Craig and call us right back. On February 2, Mrs. Boling sent me an email apologiziing for not calling back the previous day, stating that she had been very busy but after talking with Craig he was "sorry that the barstools were not ready but he would without a doubt have them ready for delivery on Friday 2/4/11. On Thursday February 3, I called Black Mountain Furniture to inquire as to the time of delivery. Still no answer at their office but did again leave a message. Then I also followed up with an email. The promised delivery date arrived, still no word from Black Mountain Furniture. Finally later that afternoon I received an email from Regina Boling stating that they were sorry but they would not be able to build the bar stools ordered and a credit would be issued to our credit card. As of today, 2/7/11, we have not been issued our credit for these stools and I plan to take action with the credit card company to have the charge reversed. I would like to say that I never plan to do business with Black Mountain Furniture again. There are a local company here in Dahlonega were we are also residents but I would never use them again. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. |

I am in the middle of a similar issue with this company - oly now they are marketing themselves also as Tall Timber Furniture. Placed an order in April - and after they cashed the check, can't get them by email or phone. I finally found an alternate phone number today that also went to voice mail; but then she rung me back!
When I stated my name it was OH, didn't you get my email - I sent you one yesterday and another today - we'll have your order ready June 13th. I didn't get anything. When I confronted them about all the scam reports all over the web, I got the story about the hundreds of satisfied customers and the fact that all the complaints on the Better Business Bureau were 100% resolved.
They told me they'll be sending me a refund - I'm sure I'll never see it. |
