My son was born in January of 2000 when I was 18, but because the father and I were no longer in a realationship and Super Bowl was on that night, he didnt feel the need to be there for the birth. Nor did he sign the birth certificate. Several month go by with no contact from him and when I have to start work again, my mom insists that I file a child support claim to get help with daycare expenses. I tell her that I think its wrong and I will just ask him to help me instead of taking him to court. He promises to start paying the daycare cost in full every Friday when is due. Every Friday for several months there was an issue, either he never showed up or didnt pay at all. Nevertheless I ended up filing for child support which included a paternity test. My son of course is his as I already knew and the child support started shortly thereafter. Fast forward 12 years..out of the blue with no warning either verbal, written or otherwise, my support money stops coming. Keep in mind all theses years, Leekel has had no relationship whatsoever with his son. He NEVER calls him, NEVER writes him, NEVER spent any type of continuous quality time with him. He is the type of man that calls his mother everyday for his lunch break but can't even call his own son to wish him a happy birthday! Because I am not the type to nag or beg I never gave him an ounce of trouble, I didnt call him asking him to step up and be a man and do more. I completely left him alone the entire 12 years. Back to present day...I find ut the reason the support just stopped is becuase of a court error. Back in 200 when the case was filed, it was never finanlized by the judge (an oversight on their behalf) and it just happened to slip thru the cracks for 12 years!. I now was being told I had to file a new case and that because Leekel now lived in a different state, although with the same employer (General Motors), they had to petition that state and it could take 6 months to a year. I of course argued that it wasnt my fault or Leekel's even that the report wasnt finalized and I shouldnt have to be inconvenienced by the states mistake. Of course I lost that argument and was once again told I had to start from scratch. Keep in mind Leekel has worked for the same company the entire time, only changing states to move with the company as they opened or sht down plants so they (child support enforcement) should of already had all his home and employment information already in their system. I filed this new report in June 2012, it is now February 201 and they have yet to be able to find Leekel and he is in plain sight!!! Same company!!!! I work in collectins and know full well there are several avenues you can travel in trying to locate someone and it certainly doesnt take 8 months, especially when you already have alot of information about the person. Back to Leekel and why I am filing this report about him and not the state of Georgia which is where I live. This man has not even attempted in any shape form or fashion to contact me or his now teenage son in an effort to continue financial support. My son's 13th birthday just came and went with no word from his dad. To make it even more maddening, I am being told I wont get arrears because the old case was never finalized and until they find him they cant establish a new order against him. Please, does someone know of WALTER LEEKEL HOPKINS AKA DEADBEAT LOSER SPERM DONOR??????????????????????????????????
