I have always had Long-Term Employment, I have never had problems or confrontations with other employees and especially not with Management. So I thought when I decided to work with Walgreens, it would be a great company with good opportunities in the future. I was very wrong. I worked at Walgreens in Arnold Missouri for all of around 3-4 months before I decided I would NOT go back there. From what I knew, I was getting along with Employees well, Everyone was friendly, but from day one, many warned me about manager Corey Faygin, 2 employees even saying they had called Employee Relations on him for various reasons. One of the Employees who complained about him the most to me was Lena, after she had noticed he began Getting onto me over silly things which could've been handled much differently, she confided in me that he did the same thing to her. After about the first month, I was walking on Eggshells and Dreading going in to work while Mr. Faygin was there. I never seemed to do anything right. I was really upset towards the end of my shift one day, I was pulling bays while Photo was slow, I wasn't doing it right apperantly, or "the way he wanted". He started getting a temper and chewing me out, he finally went to the other side of the bay and I asked him a question about the top bay which really pissed him off and he started yelling at me, my photo relief for the evening even stood in the stock room and saw his "FIT" when he threw a box full of peanuts to the ground which I had just moved-She advised me to call Employee relations and even gave me the number. I'm a very hard worker, and I was working twice as hard there to keep him off my back, but I would notice when I was Facing he would walk around the aisles and wait for me to do any little thing wrong, even if I wasn't going fast enough, he would find something to say to me. He called me to the office a few times, infront of other managers and said I was "Behind" and employees were telling him I was saying things behind his back,I tried to explain that it wasn't true, but he wouldnt let me say a word! he would humiliate me- I had not said anything except to the one employee who told me to call Corporate. I called Employee relations 3 times, no one was ever available to talk to me, I left messages each time with another lady who answered, no one would ever call me back. I was being followed when I was at work, humiliated infront of others and yelled at and told I wasn't doing my job correctly, even though I know I was. I couldn't take it anymore, I found another job and when I went in to tell Mr. Faygin "I quit" I couldn't even do it because I got sick to my stomach, he made me so nervous I would get sick. I told my friend goodbye and I walked out. That night I recieved phone calls and text messages from Lena- she had apperantly gotten my phone number from another employee, she kept texting me for almost a week saying she didn't like me from the day i started, and she was glad that he treated me like that because it kept him off of her back. She was calling me while I was at my new job! The last message she left me was a Voicemail Saying, "I'm so glad you F****** Gone! I never liked you from the moment you walked in this store- I'm the one who was telling Faygin all the S*** about you to get you in trouble" The message goes on and on for like 5 minutes till it cut her off. Tried again to contact Employee relations, nothing, no call back! This is the company that is on every street corner, these are the people they are Hiring! This is not right that corporate allows this, and Corey Faygin should not be allowed to have employees under him. I am glad to say, I LOVE my current job-Marriott INC. Is an amazing corporation with caring managers and employees. I come to work now because I enjoy being here with my friends and Employees, this is the way it should be. |
