They initiated an unsolicited telephone call, for a
"cleaning." Unfortunately, we agreed. In the process, they gave the
company name as Chimney Service, which is a lie. And gave us a call-back number of
845-895-1836, which only rings a fax of a trucking Co. unrelated to Clean Cut
Chimney. They arrived, in an unmarked truck, two very rough and tumble
unprofessionals. Total hacks. They "checked" the chimney, and told us
it was in terrible shape. Told us that there was no liner, no mortar, threw a
few bricks down, etc.

Long story short,
we were told that we needed to agree to the work today (red light!), otherwise
the price would go up (red light!), and pay cash or a check (red light!), so
that they would not have to charge NY sales tax (red light!). We bought nearly $3,000 worth of work, some
of which was done, but we still do not have a fireplace damper, the weather
caps on the top that we paid extra for, nor all the bricks recemented, and a
few other things.

During their work for us, they incompetently managed to
turn off our hot water heater, so we had no hot water the next morning. And did not so much as return a call made to
them about this at the time, much less come back to turn it on.

You cannot reach the company to talk to someone, ever. They only have an answering machine. And have returned none of our calls, ever. Half the time their voice mail is full so you
can't leave a callback request at all.

I wish I could give this rating zero stars. This "company" richly deserves that
rating.

Avoid this Co. at ALL costs!!!
