Wal-Mart Rude, Unfair customer treatment Poland, Ohio |

This is my Wal-Mart Experience which I had at the Boardman/Poland Ohio store 2211, 1300 Doral Dr. Poland Ohio 44514 on 8-18-11. This store is part the world largest retailer. Anyway for those of you did not know it, Wal-Mart has a GE Wal-Mart customer service/warranty department which will warranty many of their appliances sold at the store made be GE beyond the normal 30 day return for an exchange of the item, their phone number is 1-877-207-0923. After talking to the GE Wal-Mart customer service/warranty department, I was told to return the waffle maker to a store for an exchange, which I did on 08-18-11 but not without receiving some of the most rude and un-customer friendly treatment I had ever received by a store. When I went to the customer service center to explain what I wanted, the front end manager Alice acted like I was trying to pull a fast one on them as she walked away telling me to call 1-800-Wal-Wart. Yes she walked away from a customer who she was supposed to help, I did yell out to her what is the number for this. Which only brought 3 males dressed in street clothes to try and intimidate, degrade, and humiliate me right there in the store? They claimed to be Wal-Mart security but never showed me any identification that they even worked in the store! The only thing they did was say I could have purchased this item in 2005 when it was made and the fact that it was not totally clean along with supposedly the one man being the head of security did having 10 years at Wal-Mart never heard of this GE Wal-Mart warranty department. Unfortunately for me I did neglect to bring the number with me. But for whatever reason and after doing some research they did agree to exchange the item. In the mean time I finally got the number GE Wal-Mart customer service hotline of 1877-207-0923 to prove to them I did not make up this whole story. I let Alice talk to them, who act like I was imposing on her to do this as they already were going to exchange the item I received for Christmas 2010 but because of an agreement with GE, Wal-Mart honores the 2 year manufactures warrant on the last page of the owner’s manual for an exchange in case of defect. No explanation as to why they agreed to return it. No apology for walking away from a customer! No one from the store upper management ever was seen! No apology from their supposed security who humiliate, degraded, tried to intimidate and belittle and said I could be lying! 09-12-11 Al the Boardman store manager refuse to have the employee apologize in person to me! Compensation: What I seek as compensation is that since these four people insulted and belittle me in person that they apologize to me in person. I am willing to make a special to this non-local Wal-Mart just the same as I did that to exchange the item since they were the ones who had it in stock and I had other business in that area. The assistant manager is refusing to or as she said it impossible to get these four people together, yet that day they were! |
