Vision Prepaid Debit Card These blood-suckers gouged me with excessive and fraudulent debit card fees! Internet |

I used the Vision prepaid debit card for the very first time about two weeks ago and I will never use it again! Within one week, those blood-suckers gouged me for $18.70 in excessive and fraudulent fees. When I loaded $80.00 onto the card, they took 95 cents right off the top as a load fee. Then they charged me a $9.95 activation fee. When I tried to use the card at a local store with my pin number, they declined the sale and automatically charged me a $2.95 point-of-sale decline fee. Next, they charged me a 95 cents weekly fee.
I changed my pin number and tried to use the card at another local store. They declined the sale again and automatically charged me another $2.95 point-of-sale decline fee. Both times I attempted to use the card, the balance on the card was high enough to cover the purchases and I am certain that I entered the pin numbers correctly. Next, they charged me another 95 cents weekly fee. This adds up to a total of $18.70 in one week for fees and service charges. All of these prepaid debit card companies are pretty much the same but this Vision prepaid debit card is the worst I have eve seen! They are vultures! |

I have had a Vision Prepaid Visa for more than 6 years. Customer service has declined drastically in the past year or so. It takes nearly 30 minutes to reach a live agent and endless mind numbing pressing of numbers, hearing information that you don't need and entering birthdates, ss numbers and more many, many times over. When I pressed the button to speak to an agent in English a recording stating that "you're call can't be taken at this time" plays at which time the connection is ended and my account charged $1.95 for being on the phone and speaking to no one for more than 30 minutes each time. I've been trying for weeks to resolve a transaction that cleared $88 from my account at a Days Inn, which as it turned out did not have the room available then voided the transaction. Once a vendor clears a transaction, the money is gone from your account and does not return for weeks!! No matter what the amount. Vision required me to call the Days Inn and tell them to fax a statement, regardless that I have a receipt with the transaction info. Days Inn refuses, Vision keeps telling me that they will handle it yet for weeks nothing has been done. I decided today to switch to a PayPal prepaid card and say goodbye to Vision! I don't know what happened, but customer service is non-existent! I would highly recommend you take heed and avoid Vision alltogether! The big laugh is that I had a mediator on the line from a state consumer govt. office who could not believe what was happening. We NEVER reached a live person, yet I was charged 1.95 each time. LOL. |
