Every service that you have is controlled by your electricity. Even if you have , which I do, electricity controls the furnace. Electricity controls food storage, and every connected appliance, my health equipment, and even the telephone.
When you live and rent an apartment in the building, there is no choice to select the company for your electricty.
I pay my bills, all of them, each month with the help of energy assistant (total $600). One day I realized that my bill is over $236 each month for 1 person and for 1 bedroom apartment in the building. Since I can not speak, I asked my sister speak for me to ask Dominion Virginia Power to check the meter. Customer services refused to check the meter and refused to transfer the call to manager. When the budget billing stopped in May. The June bill was very confusing. My sister called customer services again. Again the conversation went nowhere and I received continuos threat letter to cut electricity. How can I pay the bill when it is in dispute situation but I had to pay anyway full amount and discovered that from calling them again why I did not turn on any heat or cooler, except the light for few hours (from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and the bill is still over $200 and I found out that I have been paying "installment deposit" My point here Customer Services at Dominion Virginia Power has very bad attitute and the company automatically has system just push out the threat letter with out seeing the payments or circumtances and think that people are irresponsible to pay their bills therefore this is a punishment of the company due to they control every thing and there is no where to can go to different company to have electricity. There is no competition in this services.
What do we need to do? why we do not have electricty competition services? Why can I not have a choice to select the best service. I thougth that we are in USA we would have the freedom to select the best services we want. |
