Vacation Village Voyages Program that does not work Ft.Lauderdale, Florida |
25th of Aug, 2011 by User774612 |
While spending holiday vacation in Florida (November 2009) we have been asked to visit Vacation Village Voyages center to listen to what they had to offer. We were very skeptic on what they had to offer, but they did convince us to purchase a trial type of program that would expire within 3 years from the time it was purchased. Since then I have tried to use this program several times without any results. We have been told that if we will book our reservations with 45 days or less to travel date units would be $299 or less and they have nothing less then 1 bedroom. Come to find out that was not true at all. There were units available but studios and were more then $299 per week. We belong to RCI and this kind of a deal you can get with RCI at any time. So be aware of this fraudulent company that will tell you how great this program is, but in fact it does not work at all. Also one of the managers contact me last week asking to pay a membership fee that was past due. When I told him that I will not spend more money on something that does not work, he just said I simply don't know how to use the program. Well I have been using those kind of problems for over 20 years so I would have to say I know a thing or two about it. Stay away from Vacation Village Voyages they are nothing but "hot air". |

We are sorry to hear that you did not maximize your benefits in the Vacation Village Voyages program. We have a high satisfaction rate and many repeat members and are discouraged to hear about your experience. In most cases inventory under 45 days is priced at $299 with no regard to unit size with the exception of peak travel times such as holidays, spring break, etc. Availability beyond a 45 day check-in is currently starting at $399 and up. We typically have year round availability at our Featured Resorts, as well as many other locations. Our travel specialists are available by phone to assist with reservations and finding the best deals on resorts. One of the biggest benefits of our program is that unlike typical timeshare ownership, Vacation Village Voyages allows access to thousands of resorts worldwide with no fixed ownership commitments or maintenance fees. |

We bought into Vacation Village Voyages in February, 2011 only because we are in south Florida at that time and wanted to add to our time down here ... they told us there is always availability in the 45 day before time bracket, at $299/week ... untrue ... of the 6 weeks we had available to use ... we managed to get 2 of them ... nothing else has been available and our first year is up on the 21st of February ... Last year they showed us many choices, out at Weston and up in Kissimmee ... but his year nothing is available ... I have already paid my membership for 2012/13 and have asked for my $$ back, $179 annual fee, plus at least 1/2 of what we paid initially ... if I hadn't booked extra weeks with RCI, we would be out of luck ... that and buying a Carnival Cruise for the week of February 25th because, again ... VVV had nothing to offer ... do no buy into this program ... friends of our were at Fort Lauderdale and they were invited to a 'sales pitch' of VVV ... after what we had to tell them about our experience ... they certainly did not buy ... and I will continue to spread the word until we get our money back |
