This company is a nightmare. I got a salesman come to the door and offer a "great" deal for phone service. I didn't have a physical land line going to the house and he said that would be no problem they can install it free. I agreed. several weeks later an installer came by and installed the phone line. When Hooking up the line, he broke my rj11 connector that goes into the wall. The phone did work. Then my neighbor was scheduled installation a few days later. When they installed her line, they somehow messed up my line and now I didn't get any dial tone. I called the company and they ran a test and said that it was an outside issue and she will send a tech out in a couple of days. She said he should be there sometime between 8 am and 7pm. I stayed home all day waiting for a tech that never showed up. The next day I called and she checked and yes, I was on the schedule and no one showed up. I told her to just cancel my service and I told her I was going to stick with my cable phone company. My neighbor the next day had to call 911 for her boyfriend. He collapsed on the floor and the operator asked her what number she was calling from and she told the operator. The operator said that is not the number she has on her caller ID. The next day my neighbor called the UT phone company and the company explained to her that she doesn't have service through UT and that she had to call this "other company that she is with. The UT service representative gave my neighbor the number she needed to call this "other" company that she allegedly with. Neighbor called the number and it doesn't work. She came to me and explained to me what she has gone through. I contacted UT and I explained to her that she never had even a phone line installed and that UT was the one that installed the line a few days ago and provided my neighbor with a false phone number. The UT phone representative said that there is nothing they can do, that we would have to call this "other" company to resolve the problem. I asked the representative to talk to a supervisor and she refused at first and took 15 minutes to get her to do so. The supervisor was even less helpful. This company is a farce and should be shut down immediately. |
