I bought a policy back in june from U.S. Auto Solutions based out of grand rapids, Michigan from a con man known as Mason Verville! He sold me a so called "Bumper to Bumper policy" which ended up being nothing more than a few pieces of a few parts. The policy he sold me was through American Auto Shield which is kind of funny because when i searched for us auto solutions on this site there were 2 more reports linked to both companies which I guess means they are some how tied together. I was told I had a 30 day full money back refund on my policy due to the fact that the company was not sending out mail or sample contracts. " NO OBLIGATION " Is what Mr. Verville Said... First of all they waited untill about 5 days before my 30 days was up to send me out any paperwork and then when I got the contract I called about 20 times on the customer service line and just kept getting a recording saying to leave a message and they would call me back in a day I then called the original commercial number that I had and was connected to a Ryan Thompson. Mr Thompson was the supervisor that oversees the warranty division and he was very sympathetic about my situation and seemed to genuinely care about my situation. He told me that he would look into the problem and call me back. I did not immediatly hear from him but he did later call me from his personal cell phone. Lucky for me I wrote this numer down. He told me that he was going to have mason call me and I never did hear from mason so the following day I called the customer service number 5ish more times and again no answer. So I resorted back to calling the commercial line and was told mason was in a meeting by Chad.. I left a message and Mason 2 days later returned my call and said it was all just a mix up and that they mailed me the wrong contract and that I was in fact in the bumper to bumper policy. Last week the first week of august my alternator went out and when I took my policy into the shop they said that they did not accept aftermarket warranties but to try the major dealerships because it usually just takes to long for them to actually pay the claims. So I then had my car towed to the dealership and they looked at my policy noticing that it was what he called a Low-end basic powertraing package .. I told him that I was t old by the gentleman that sold the policy that it was fixed in the system but after calling AAS he said that I was in fact lied to and that it was a common practice for many companies and that you really have to be careful about what your buying. I was furious and called customer service with no answer and I left several not so nice messages and every time i called the tv number I got the run around so I called Mr. Thompson only to find that he no longer works for that company and even though he seems to be working with another company he said he would call and check for me but called back to say he also got no answer. So I have had t o close my debit card out and order a new one because this company will not answer and have already gotten near 700 dollars from me. Avoid these people at all costs.. Check with your attorney general and NEVER EVER buy any policies without having a signed one in your possession with what you are getting from them!
