US Airways Piedmont Airlines DBA US Airways Express They Canceled flight and refused a reasonable solution. Phoenix, Arizona |

US Airways breached a contract to provide a flight at a specific time and date and then canceled the flight and the next flight out was not even the same day. Basically what happened is I flew form Greenville to Charlotte on a trip to Minneapolis. I flew from Greenville to Charlotte and then the flight was canceled once I arrived at Charlotte. I spoke to the supervisor at gate B7, Carol Reicht, and she told me I needed to go to customer service to resolve this. So I looked and the line was 300 feet long of other people with the same problem so Carol told me to call 800-428-4322. So after the first person hung up on me and I called a second time and spoke to Rene F3 and she offered me the next avalable flight at 11:30 on 6-25-11 that stopped in Chicago and had a 4 hour lay over and I would get into Minneapolis at 7:30 Pm. That was not exceptable. The next offer was the same flight 58 on 6-25-11 instead of 6-24-11 which ment I would not leave for 24 hours. So that not exceptable so I asked about a flight back to Greenville and the next flight back to Greenville was the afternoon of 6-25-11. That also was not exceptable. Rene told me all she could do was schedule a flight anything else would have to be taken care of by customer service. So at that point I either stood in a 3 hour line or emailed customer service and wait 3-4 days for a response. So I was stranded in Charlotte and told to stand in line which was a 100 yards long and not moving. I was flying to Minneapolis for my daughters shower and a family get together on Saturday. If I took the offer to fly I would miss my events anyway so I decided to go back home. I could not rent a car one way. A room was going to be over 100 dollars and nothing was certain as to what US Airways was going to pay for or even they were going to pay for anything. So the only ride I could get was private car. The ride cost me $250 to go from Charlotte to GSP. The Car picked me up at 11:30 and dropped me off in GSP at 12:45 I found my car and headed back home and made to Greenwood SC at 2:15 AM. Specific details: On June 24, 2011 flight number 4121 from GSP ( Greenville/Spartonburg) to Charlotte. Flight number 58 from Charlotte to Minneapolis at 10:15 PM.I have filed a complaint with customer service and it will take some time to get a resonse, but after the way I have been treated I do not expect much and I will never fly US Airways again. Perhaps I should correct this by saying I will never not fly on a flight that I have paid for through US Airways. I just do not get it ,how can they sell you a ticket and you show up and then they just cancel the flight and strand you for over 12 hours and off no solution except stand in a 300 feet line..
