UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX
University of Phoenix Ripped of by University of Phoenix , Internet
16th of May, 2011 by User467488
I have just wrote the report about University of Phoenix, exuniversityofphoenix. What I failed to mention in my report,I am now after 4years,having problems getting my taxes back as well.My taxes have been intercepted for two years now.I don't think these people should have the right to touch our taxes. They want to get what they think they should get, then it should be going to court. So we have that time to all go in front of the judge and tell him/her about what this school is doing to a number of people. And see if they get any of that money.Eventually see if they even stay in business, after all the people that gather together at the courtroom.

Corllins University is a huge Scam!!!
I am just a poor Botswana citizen and I am a victim of a scam. I want to take this moment to register my complaint as well as to let other people around the world know about "Corllins University”, an affiliate of “Universal Degrees. Also people should know that the above stated entities are one and the same thing and they are a rip off. People should stay away from these two entities, they are a money making scam!!! I'm not just saying that, they in f act ripped me off.
Please watch out for the following web addresses!!! http://www.universaldegrees.com and httpp://www.corllinsuniversity.com
My advice to every person around the world is that “Corllins University” is a scam and people SHOULD NOT under any circumstances enroll with this bogus university - you will regret if you do so!!! If you need more information about this scam, please contact the writer. I have done all the research and I have no doubt that this is all a fraud and a scam. I enrolled with them (Universal Degrees/Corllins University) in August 2010 thinking they were a professional organization and it cost me the whole lot of my hard earned cash.
If there is anyone who need more information about these criminals, I can be contacted through my mobile phone number +267 71562235 or my landline number +267 588 1040.
There are just so many complaints on the internet about “Corllins University”.
What I have discovered trough research is that “Corllins University” is a very misleading institution which hides behind several domains such as the ones listed below:

1. Online-Education-Facts-Online.com,
2. Speedy-Degrees.com,
3. University-College.com,
4. Corllinsuniversity.net,
5. CrollinsUniversity.com,
6. CrollinsUniversityreviews.com,
7. Universaldegrees.com,
8. corllinsuniversity.blogspot.com
9. affordabledegrees.com
They also own the following bogus universities; please stay away from these “universities” as they are rip offs!!! They also operate from all over the world:
1. Ashwood University,
2. Rochville University,
4. Lorenz University,
5. Hill University.
6. Belford University

With all these so called universities, surely one can see that these guys are in real business.
“Corllins University” is also listed in the Top 10 sources of invalid degree reports or inquiries received by the Oregon Office of Degree Authorization (ODA) in the United States of America:

1. Almeda University
2. Belford University
3. Breyer State University
4. Canyon College
5. Corllins University
6. MUST University
7. Rochville University
8. Rushmore University
9. Washington International University

“Corllins University” claims to be based in the US, yet my research has revealed that they operate from Pakistan and were originally formed in Saudi Arabia.
They also claim to be a fully accredited online university and offer valid and verifiable degrees with global acceptance and recognition. They further claim to be accredited by the recognized accreditation institutions such as the Accreditation Panel for Online Colleges & Universities (APTEC) and Global Accreditation Bureau (GAB).

My research has further revealed that the accreditation agencies stated above (APTEC & GAB) are also not legitimate. These criminals have in fact generated a website for accrediting organizations, which they themselves registered within their own website. When you access their websites, they appear to be accredited, but in reality, they are accredited by agencies they own.

I have also looked at “Corllins University’s web page and there is nowhere on the web where it shows the location of this “University”. That’s because it doesn’t actually exist. It’s no more than a web page and a bank account. Every legitimate accredited school has an address!
Their banking details are as indicated below. That where all the money acquired through the scam go:

Beneficiary Name: Connect Shift Ltd.
Beneficiary Account No: 177-32-033701
Bank Name: Marfin Laiki bank.

Address: Larnaca International Business Centre 3 Artemidos Avenue, Artemidos Tower 1st Floor CY-6020 Larnaca Cyprus.
This scam university is earning it’s leaving by selling worthless academic degrees. They sell life experience degrees by giving you credits for your life experience. There is no review of your background or experiences when you enroll with them. They simply sell you a paper degree that has no value to any employer around the world. They are not accredited.

Let me give you a little background below of how I got scammed by these criminals.
It all started in August 2010, following my desire to pursue an online bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA). I did a research and “Corllins University” was the first school I researched. I immediately contacted them and they immediately offered me a life experience degree. I was attended to by a certain Alex Yoder who claimed to be a senior student councilor.
What he told me about life experience degree was that they would take down my life experience, that is working experience and past educational qualification, convert them into credit hours, if these credit hours are equivalent to the credit hours that are required to complete a desired degree then I would qualify and they would award me the degree accordingly, if I am successfully evaluated they start with the registration process registering me and my documents with the university and the Accreditation bodies and after that they would make sure that my documents are shipped out to me in the next 10 working days and it will only cost me US$524.00.
I told him that I was not interested in the life experience degree as that would earn me a degree without having studied for it. He claimed the degree was fully guaranteed and that if I was not happy with it they would reimburse me.
I however refused their offer and insisted on the online degree as it would give me the opportunity to study relative courses.

I was then told that online program would cost me a little bit more as I would need to complete 24 courses. I told them that it was fine with me. I was then given the fee structure as follows; a regular enrollment fee of US$399 and I would only have to pay $199. A regular tuition fee of US$399 per course for 24 courses the full fee would have been $9576, but it was reduced to US$250 per course which reduced my full tuition fee to UD$6000. I was then asked to pay this in a couple of installments. However, I negotiated to pay in six months installments.

I was then asked to provide copy of my visa credit card, which I duly did (Card Number 4069 2800 0020 0160). The first deduction from my visa credit card for an amount of UD$2035.00 was done on 27th August 2010. A total of US$8, 441.00 was thereafter deducted from my visa credit card on the following dates without my authority:
1. 27/08/2010 6:40:42 AM US$2035.00
2. 28/08/2010 6:31:40 AM USD240.00
3. 29/09/2010 5:25:26 PM US$400.00
4. 29/09/2010 5:25:20 PM US$916.00
5. 11/10/2010 3:13:54 PM US$1000.00
6. 11/10/2010 3:13:57 PM US$300
7. 04/11/2010 5:25:22 PM US$1000.00
8. 30/11/2010 11:53:41 AM US$1000.00
9. 07/12/2010 3:16:44 PM US$800.00
10. 18/02/2011 3:31:46 PM US$750.00
I discovered this scam in May this year, whilst I was doing a research, on the internet wherein I found some information in one of the websites about “Corllins University” that concerned me. There was an article entitled “Universal Degrees and Corllins University – Scam”. The article went on to state that “Universal degrees” is no more than a web site that will take your money and offer you a fake degree from an equally fake university. In fact they claim to offer degrees from “Corllins University”, a university that also exists solely on the internet. The fake university claims to be registered and accredited by the “Accreditation Panel for Online Colleges and Universities”, yet another fake body”.
After reading this article, I got a major shock of my life. I then expressed my concern with my student councilor, Alex Yoder who claimed that these are all sorts of propaganda and fabricated stories on the internet by their competitors to spoil their image. He further claimed that this negative propaganda was not the case with them only but with all the growing and renowned organization/companies like Google, Wal-Mart, CNN, Toyota, Nokia, Microsoft and you name it.
This made me to believe that this councilor was a professional scammer. However I could no longer trust what he was telling me and I just decided to terminate my enrolment with the so called “University”. It is very unfortunate that I did not check to see if this “University” was legitimate before even considering enrolling with them.
I told this guy that I was no longer interested and they should cancel my registration and refund back all my money. After this, they immediately stopped phoning me like they used to phone me day and night looking for payment.

I have sent numerous emails to these bloody criminals requesting for a refund, without any success. Each time I send an email, I am responded to by a programmed message which reads as follows: “Let us clarify that your money has already been refunded to the same credit card that was used for payment. You can check it with your bank / credit card issuer for authentication.”
I have checked the refund with my bankers on several occasions and have not been successful. I have provided these criminals with every opportunity to refund all the money that was withdrawn from my visa credit card and now they have stopped all communications with me.

They took my money and I have received nothing for it. I have been ripped off my hard earned and they still have visa card information.
I still need to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accredited university. However, I am unable to do so as I am now out of pocket because of these bloody criminals.

This incident has taught me a big lesson and next time I will do a little more research on any university before I enroll with it.
I want to thank all those companies who make things a whole lot easier by providing a list of bogus companies on their WebPages.
I just wonder how many more people like me have been scammed by these bloody criminals.

Kindly assist me in pursuing this matter to completion. These criminals are now not responding to my emails or my telephone calls. Their toll-free number is 1-877-794-4627 or (Phone: +1-866-710-9080).

Hello, as a human resources director of a large corporation, I never hire anyone with a degree from the University of Phoenix. Anyone with a job application with the University of Phoenix listed as an institution from which they have a degree, their application is immediately shredded. Anyone can get a degree from UoP without learning anything. People who cannot get a degree from any other institution end up at the University of Phoenix, and according to the Department of Education, only 15% of those people graduate. There are many better real colleges with professors, with a campus that has world-class online classes and degrees like Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado or Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, just to name a couple. Too enroll at UoP will be a big mistake for anyone.
