In June 2010, we were approached by Jeanette Dove , President / CEO of Enerdesigns Media Group and Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Two Mundos Magazine to advertise in their magazine. Ms. Dove presented us with what called an "offer that was hard to refuse". $750 for a so called "Golden Package" which included: One Full Page ad of Premier One Aviation; One page print editorial on Premier One Aviation, and One Web Banner on for 90 day. She indicated that the regular price for this package was $1,950, the cost to the client was $950 and she was discounting it especially for us at a special price of $750. Ms. Dove promised us that our ad would be published in the upcoming "Two Mundos Magazine's, Design & Music 2010 Issue. When we inquired about the frequency of the publications Ms. Dove confirmed that the magazine was published 4 times a year. We accepted Ms. Dove's proposal and paid by credit card. Since June 2010 we have contacted Ms. Dove many times via email and phone and it has been very difficult. We have called her Miami phone number, her Washington / VA number, and even her La Paz, Bolivia phone number. All phone numbers transfer to the same voice mail. After sending a strong email and threatening with a lawsuit Ms. Dove finally responded to our email and said that she had been very busy traveling. She made up excuses that the magazine was delayed but that it would be published soon. I asked her to put this in writing and it's been 3 months and we are still waiting for her email confirming this in writing and the publication of her magazine. We began doing some research on this company through the internet and came across a previous complaint on the "ripoffreport.com" which had the same exact characteristics of our case. That complaint was back in 2009 and referring to the 007 issues which was never published according to the report. We also noticed that they were not publishing 4 editions per year as promised and that their last edition actually had not been pubished in a few years. In reviewing today their website they show their 006 as their last edition that was published a few years ago.......... We have made the decision that we will file a complaint with the State Attorney's General Office, with the Better Business Bureau, a claim with the Small Claims Court and an official dispute with our credit card company. Based on our experience this company is not responsive and deceived and scammed us of $750. They violated and are in breach of their sales agreement and simply did not deliver. |
