Twins moving company provided an estimate based on phone conversations, inventory of items including size and weight of equipment and furniture, photos and drawings of stairs at destination. Upon arriving at the pick-up location, they began trying to change the terms of the agreement. Twins "stored" our furniture and equipment until a truck could be arranged to send the same to the desitination in Ohio. However, several weeks passed until the furniture and equipment were actually shipped. It took multiple calls to get dates for the delivery, then they would change or not deliver. When the delivery was scheduled the drivers called the contact person at the destination and began trying to change the terms of the agreement and requested additional monies. Then, upon arrival stated that they were not able to deliver the equipment to the second floor as originally described via discussions, photographs and drawings. They required more money or would not deliver the equipment. The equipment was left in the first floor lobby not the required destination. Additionally, a specialized folding-conference room table was lost / missing. After hiring another moving company at additional expense, the equipment was delivered. The missing table was referred to a third party claims reviewer and 3-months later we recieved a valuation of the loss at $17.55. The contract that was only offered at pick-up limited damages to $0.60 per pound. This was a 125 lb. table; even though cut-sheets describing the weights of the table, the adjuster used their own tables and established a non-negotiable adjustment of 15 lbs.. The claims process was labored and clearly biased. The move was unprofessional, furniture was lost, and the insurance was insufficient.
