Trinketzus Petie Hibbard strange person, not very professional Addison, New York

We have purchased two Shih Tzu puppies from Petie. The first was a small female for my mother. She was cute but not very social. We drove to meet Petie to make the exchange at a Cracker Barrel restaraunt in New York. She delivered the pup as promised and the pup had no problems. Petie and her husband were both present and I have to say that there was nothing amiss about the transaction. (Besides that fact thtat she denied that the pup had an umbilival hernia. My husband is a vet tech and I had encountered dogs with such a birth defect in the past. No biggie. It was corrected when she was spayed.)Her husband seemed to be a kind, gentle, loving man who cuddled the dogs in blankets while were there. Then, about a year later we wanted another Tzu for ourselves so we called Petie. Here's where the weirdness begins. Apparently someone had already adopted our pup and returned him and when I called she was relieved that I would be acquiring him. We met at teh Cracker Barrel again and lo and behold, there was the cutest pup I'd ever seen in a little cardigan with toggles, wrapped in a blanket. Once again her husband was on hand, snuggling our pup in a baby blanket. Even when he handed off the new pup to me, He took my older Tzu and wrapped and cuddled him. We took our new addition home and were pleasantly surprised to find tht he was exceptionally affectionate. However, his jaw and face were a bit crooked. Later speculation led us to believe that he had been dropped as we fund him to be absolutely horrifie of heights. Anyway, soon after we went home he became very ill and we had to take him to the hospital where he was treated. We called Petie then next day and told her whaqt happened. She did send us a check for the reimbursement but then she wouldn't take or return any calls or emails. I think after that she started to get a bit strange. Her website became increasingly egocentric and she began her rants. It's a shame really because when we first met her she was so kind. AFter the second transaction things started to go down hill. From whatI read in the complaing, things have fallen apart and her websirte is gone. Wonder if something went wrong in the family. I know her son was serving in teh Middle East. Hope everything is okay. Sje really stated out fine but I guess greed gets to everyone. Sorry for anyone who had a bad experience.
