Either they (Trellian) or one of there affiliate/reseller contacted us (GSA) to get a free version of our website submission software as they said the demo version wasn't enough to fully review it (number of submission sites are limited in our demo version). As we denied this since we think the demo version is enough to test things out, he used another email to contact us.

Here is what he wrote:

you really should have helped me out. but since you didn't i disassembled your program and got the code i needed to generate a valid name and serial number. it only took about three hours. now i have full use of web submitter at no cost or license obligation. i might even post the name and serial number on every site in the data base so every one can enjoy gsa web submitter. don't bother trying to trace this. it is a one time only e-mail account. thanks!

You might ask why we know it is the same person since he used a different email and didn't sign it? Well each email has a header and some email providers provide the IP address in the header of the sending PC. Both emails had the same IP. Further more the same person with that IP used our demo version (or cracked version if you want to belief there email) to submit the Terllian website.

Of course we tried to contact this person directly by his email. This is what we got as reply:

I told you, dont spam me with e-mail anymore or i will file a complaint agasinst you and your ISP.I am also b locking your e-mail address so I dont have to read your garbage.

Then we tried to contact Trellian directly, no reply as well.

To sum it up: This company doesn't care what there affiliates do or how unethical they try to sell there products if they just make money. If possible you should avoid doing any business with them. Just to make things clear, its not about GSA vs. Trellian as we sell the same product, its just about unethical behaviors that you might want to take notice of.
