Kevin Ramsey, owner of Trademark Windows and Doors, has stolen my $6800 deposit for new vinyl windows and doors for 2 homes that I am rehabbing. He emailed me the following statement on Nov. 25th 2008 about his company, Trademark Windows and Doors, days before the installation date was scheduled: "....I had to close down Trademark Windows and Doors on Fri./Monday. We were just not making enough money to keep the doors open because of the economic issues no one is buying any windows. I have refered the business matters to an attorney who will liquidate the business and unfortunately file the business and myself for bankruptcy....." ~ Kevin Ramsey He gave me the the following statement as a pathetic excuse to run off with my entire deposit: ".....As many of you know, the recent economic meltdown has affected many businesses across the country, both large and small.....Recent times have created an environment in which doing business has become extremely difficult. Many businesses have been forced to make major cutbacks or close their doors altogether...." ~ Kevin Ramsey When we confronted Kevin about his message, he gave us the following reply: "I think you should call your lawyer because he will tell you that I was not OBLIGATED to anything. If my business closes and I have to file for bankruptcy, then you are just another unsecured creditor." ~ Kevin Ramsey But here is the catch....Trademark Windows and Doors has not filed for any type of Bankruptcy and they are still operating their business, probably looking for the next person that they can rob. I admit that this whole thing was partly my fault. Here's why, I never did a background check on Kevin Ramsey or his company. If I had I would have found that he has a criminal past which involves TAMPERING WITH RECORDS, FORGERY, UTTERING, AGGRAVATED THEFT, TAKING IDENTITY OF ANOTHER, PASSING BAD CHECKS and UNAUTHORIZED USE OF PROPERTY/COMPUTER SYSTEM. He has also been the defendant in over 30 civil suit cases. You'll be surprised at how many results come up. This isn't a case of bad luck or a "bad economy", Kevin Ramsey is simply a bad man.
