Devry Campus Explorer I was looking for a community college application. Internet |

I was trying to find out information about the College of Souther Nevada and instead they sold my application to Devry and four other schools. Here is where they got my information: http://www.campusexplorer.com/programs/8942EBED/Nevada/Las-Vegas/College-of-Southern-Nevada/ Now I am benig hounded by these sales people trying to get me to take a student loan. I don't want to be in debt, but they say I can make more money when I graduate. I talked to CampusExplorer.com and they said that there is nothing that they can do. And that there are more schools that are going to be calling me soon. They won't take my name out the database. I want them to stop using my information to make money and just want to go to the local college. What really makes me mad is devry who wont hellp me and keeps tryin to get me to talk to a financial aide person. I am not ready to get in debt and they are blowing me up all the time. watch out yall. |

response from Campus Explorer
This looks very much like a bogus post. Campus Explorer does not facilitate applications as this user claims to have done through out site. Campus Explorer does not forward our member information to any school without our members personal consent. Campus Explorer will remove our members from our communications programs upon request. The schools mentioned in this post will absolutely remove you from their admissions system if you simply tell them you are no longer interested.
Please visit www.campusexplorer.com to update your communications preferences, search for any school in the United States and organize your decision journey for college. |

I hear that they are under investigation by the FTC for fraud. |

Shameless

Like many students anxious to enter the workforce, I left college after my freshman year. After seven years of working professionally – and after a major change in my life – I began toying with the idea of returning to school to complete my Bachelor’s degree.
Since I planned to continue working full time, I immediately overwhelmed myself with questions: ”Is this the right decision? How do I pay for it? Do I have time? Am I ready to commit to this major life-change?”
Slowly I began to sort through it all. |
