TONY ENGLISH
TONY ENGLISH Beware of this lazy liar LAGUNA NIGUEL, California
16th of Jun, 2011 by User820654
The decision of who to go with your real estate business is a very important one obviously. If you want a lazy liar who's very skilled at telling you what you want to hear then go with this guy. In Fall '08 I decided to short-sell my Aliso Viejo condo as it had dropped 125k in value below my purchase price. I then held a 1st & 2nd mortgage with IndyMac Bank & Chase. I met with Tony at Claim Jumper at Oso/5, and was impressed. He was very gentlemanly, and described the short-sale process with authority. He said he knew people at all the banks' short-sale departments, and also would remove all derogatory marks on my credit report after closing. I decided to go with him. Though he immediately listed my property, I barely heard from him for the next 6 months until late April '09. Thats when things got heated with IndyMac just before my 4/30/09 Forclosure date, Tony said there's no problem, etc, just send me all the paperwork and I'll work with your bank. Well for the next 10 days Tony did NOTHING including telling me he had forwarded all paperwork when he had not. I know this because in the final hours I WORKED with IndyMac myself to avoid forclosure. I forwarded all documents. I corresponded with their personnel. I presented my case & urged that my foreclosure date be extended. Not only did they briskly accept my work and extend my FC date ....No one there knew who Tony was! After my extension I did some research into Tony's claims of credit repair, and discovered it was all a lie. He said he "buries in the paperwork" a condition that the lender(s) must remove all mortgage-related derog's & then holds their feet to the fire after closing. Well thats great, but I did some research. I discovered 2nd Mortgage Lienholders only exchange a 1-page document with 1st Mortgage Lienholders upon closing. I discovered that anything he may have stuck the 1st guys to would not have bound the 2nd guys to anything. My shortsale never went through because IndyMac sold a few thousand "distressed properties" to Deutsche Bank in June '09, and effectively killed my short-sale. Also, the CA DRE only verbally reprimanded Tony as that laziness, lying & lying about credit repair are outside their areas of punishment. Atleast I Have Yelp. Tony English is a classic example of a real-estate buffoon masquerading as a professional. He's lazy. He lies. He will not work for you, and will tell you straight to your face that he is. I learned the hard way. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. REMEMBER THAT HE IS VERY CONVINCING, AND GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE
