I should have listened to the comments on this website before I started at TMG, Trans Tech, CPP, or whoever they are.
Well my first day was 8 hours of a tele-conference and setting on a computer, believe me it was not enough to start selling the complex merchant card services. RED FLAG --That was Friday and started monday Morning.
First let me say that the pre-set appointments I received were just not appointments at all. Everyone I contacted said that the telemarketer asked who the owner was and then said we have an appointment a day and time and hung up.
I received my first appointment 35 miles away, so I went to it. (I had been instructed that i would only cover 25 mile raduis from home) RED FLAG The contact lady was not there so I call back up my Sales Manager Aaron and he tells me, they will try to set an appointment today with her. RED FLAG He is overbaring and borderline asshole with me saying to me "I don't want you to tell me she is not there. You need to let me talk to someone there." RED FLAG!
I was instructed by Arron " screw the customers and that they all are stupid". RED FLAG
So i get my next non-appointment which is thirty + miles from where I was. I don't have to do it until 2:30 pm and he tells me to generate some leads of my own. So i go to my friend's restaurant. He basically tells me to get away from these guys he knows about these people and they are bad news. RED FLAG
So, I go to my next appointment and guess what, The door is locked and no one is there and not only that every time i call my sales manager i was put on hold for 15-20 minutes at a time RED FLAG . I called on 15 merchants, and of these people, I saw, I could with some time, sell most of them. I passed the phone over to my manager on four occasions where the results were that he got me booted out of the business by his overbearing threatening attitude and the "High Pressure Sales approach" He just said "the customers are assholes! " RED FLAG
In all, I worked a 4 days, I spent $150.00 in Gas and the four days in lost wages based on the lies that they represented to me.
This company is a terrible cancer on the face of business!
I have found that Business Owners are not stupid people. I noticed that TMG focused on the Asians, Hispanic, and Elderly in the appointments with the mindset that they would bully the business owners to just sign the application which committed them to service cancellation fees. (Not a contract but its signed in 8 places and initialed in five places.) but anyone that freely gives a sales guy that they don't know or have not known, their social security, date of birth, DBA number of there company, and checking account number, before checking them out ~~~~well they are stupid !
