TODD MERCIER dba SIMPLE SOLUTIONS took my money for 3 cords of wood last July and only brought one cord. He avoided all contact and refused to respond to phone calls, e-mails, and faxes. Finally I filed a small claims suit. I managed to get a second cord out of him at the time I served him for small claims court. He did not show up to the hearing, so I got the judgment automatically, and now he once again refuses to make contact or honor the terms of the judgment. I have now filed an Abstract of Judgment and am having it recorded. My next steps will be to get a judgment lien against Mr. Mercier's real property and/or personal property, which will be filed with the Secretary of State. I have also contacted the City Clerks in the departments of business licenses for both Big Bear Lake and the city of Highland as well as San Bernardino County Department of Agriculture/Weights and Measures and the State Board of Equalization I have told Todd again and again that all he needs to do is pay the money he owes me or bring me the last cord of wood. He refuses to do this.
