I went to a tire kingdom in Bradenton ,FL for an oil change, They offered me an vehicle inspection. I need to know what my car needs as I can't buy a new one. They told me I needed some flushes, brake work and an alignment. So I told them I would call them back for an appointment when I got my schedule. I went home, told my wife and she reminded me that we just had the brakes done 3 months ago.
I decided to get a second opinion, thus I went to another one of their locations in Bradenton. I asked for them to check the car out, as I was having some brake noises. After writing me a brake est over $500.00 they told me I needed an oil change, flushes, two tires and struts and shocks. I just had the oil changed! When I inquired about the oil change telling them I just had it done, they told me they were going by the mileage on my oil change sticker, they never check the oil! I refused the services and left.
I called my wife and told her what had happen, she told me to goto another location that was closer to her work. When I got their they were very busy. It took some time to get the car into the shop. I told them the same thing about the brake noise. They told me they could find nothing wrong with my brakes, but I did need tires, struts and shocks, and a list of other things. I refused the work and left.
I took the car to a local family owned auto repair shop one of our friends recommended to have them check the car out. They told me I ahve a small hole in my muffler, I needed wiper blades, and the tire needed rotation. When I told them of my experience with the tire kingdom locations, they told me they get alot of work because of they try and sell the customer everything and anything, needed or not!
I am really MAD about the stealing these pepole are doing! and I thought the rest of the public needs to know.I will never go back to one of their locations no matter howw "CHEAP" it is!!! The "money back " on tires and "lowest price guarantee" must be fictious also due to the fact they charged me $30. for my oil change when they were running a $10. special.
