Ticket Network
Ticket Network Tickets Plus, Ticket Liquidator, Metro Entertainment, Ticket Software LLC Purposely deceptive advertising by a company with an F rating
8th of May, 2011 by User123146
Ticket Network, owned by Donald Vaccaro, is a sleazy company that enables other sleazy ticket brokers to scam unsuspecting people. They have been investigated by the Attorney General of the State of Connecticut, and have active complaints with that agency at this time. Tickets Plus, which is owned by Donald Vaccaro has an F rating with the Connecticut Better Business Bureau. They have websites that look exactly the official websites of the venue that you have done an inmternet search for. Once at that website, they count on the unsuspecting person to believe that they are at the official venue website, and trust that site. This is what happened to my girlfriend. She thought she was at a website she could trust because they make it look "official", so she didn't read the "fine print" disclaimer. Once she purchased her tickets, she received an invoice from a company she never heard from (tickets plus) and realized she had been scammed. Within 1 hour of the transaction, and before her credit card had even been charged, she contacted them with her concerns about the F rating with the BBB, as well as the fact that she thought she had been dealing with the Official venue, and asked for the transaction to be voided. They laughed at her and told her that all sales are final, no matter what. This is just wrong, and I will make it my mission in life to make Donald Vaccaro, and his various companies held accountable for their sleazy business practices. I would like all those who have been scammed by Donald Vaccaro, and Ticket Network to remember one thing. They may be able to use their money, and their lawyers to win battles in the court of law, but their business absolutely depends on the Courte Of Public Opinion. If Ticket Network is pubically exposed for what they really are, if their scammin practices are pubically exposed, the rest of the general public will learn from our mistakes and not purchase tickets from them, or their sleazy partners in crime. Ticket Network will have an employee respond to my complaint, and they will say all the right things, and spin it just the right way, because they know that the more the public starts becomming aware of their sleazy practices, the more their business (and I use that term loosely) suffers. If you want to make them pay for scamming you, the best approach to take after you have contacted the BBB, the Attorney General, and the elected officials in their state of Connecticut, is to go to every possible place where people buying tickets may go, and expose them. The entertainment sections of newspapers around the country is a great place to start.

I completely agree! I have been scammed as well. Tickets Plus / Metro Entertainment sent me a single (downgraded / incorrect) ticket, and refuse to issue me a refund or send me the correct tickets. I paid for club-level seating on a web site that looked valid. I wish I had read your report before I made the purchase. i would strongly discourage ANYONE from ever purchasing from this company. Sleazy is a good word for them. I am out $345.

Same thing happened to me- thought I was in the venue's site, bought the tickets without being able to see face value or a fee breakdown. Got the e-receipt before I realized I hadn't bought original tickets through the venue, then noticed I paid more than DOUBLE for the tickets I got, including $15 each for shipping (even though they came as four computer printouts in a single envelope, and not priority), as well as around $20 each in processing and more than $20 each in markups. Total scam. If I'd realized I was even buying from them I would have checked out the reviews beforehand, as they all say the same.

I have also been scammed by Metro Entertainment. I thought I was buying tickets from the venue where the show was scheduled for late September. My first clue that something was wrong was the notice that stated the tickets might not be mailed to me until 4 days before the performance. I was also charged for FedEx overnight delivery that I did not request. I received the tickets within a few days of ordering via FedEx (and more than a month before the performance) but the tickets have someone else's name on them!!! When I inquired about why I received tickets with someone else's name, I was informed that it was not a problem but simply a result of someone else returning their tickets for the same seats that I subsequently purchased. And yet, supposedly they have a "no refund" policy! I have never in my life heard of an organization issuing tickets to the purchaser with someone else's name on them. I have asked them to reissue the tickets with my name on them or provide a refund and so far, all they are telling me is that they have a no refund policy. This is infuriating that I'm being given answers that are ridiculous AND I have no idea if the tickets I have are valid.

Ticket Network is cut throat. They are operated by people to rip off people. The steal the tickets, rob you blind, and then have no guarantee. There website says 125% money back, it's a lie. That is only if the concert is cancelled. If the show is cancelled and rescheduled, then you can kiss your money goodbye. Don't be a fool like me. You will loose a lot of money, and waste even more time.

What a rip off! I would suggest not buying from Tickets Plus, Metro Entertainment or what ever name they want to go buy this week! I was on ticketmaster and somehow their website came up. I thought I was still buying on ticketmaster. All of a sudden a page came up that my order went through, but I had not been given a choice to purchase the tickets once I saw the price. All tickets for my event are $43.50. I purchased (2) and was billed $295.00. They automatically billed me for my tickets. BEWARE, when buying tickets, make sure you see the total before giving credit card information. This place is a scam, scam scam. Why are they allowed to continue their business???? All I have found on-line today is negative comments from other customers. Someone needs to shut them down.

Can we go through small claims court? Im out $310

A girl namd Beth Gyngell is on my tickets. I searched her down through Linkedin and My Space. Says she is 25 and student at university for catering yet she is a purchasing agent for Metro Entertainment. Im going to consult with a lawyer. The tickets have Ticketmaster on them. They have the wrong price on them. Chicago-The Band tickets go for HUNDREDS of dollars not $46. Im going to have my lawyer contact her. Will keep you posted. Anybody got any other ideas?

OMG, I've been scammed too. My tickets have that girls name, Beth Gyngell, on them too, with a different price that I had paid and Ticketmaster printed all over them. With curiosity I went to the Ticketmaster site after receiving them and see that the tickets are offered at a lower price for the same seating. I too started out on the Ticketmaster site and ended up somehow on Metro Entertainment site, which I did not know till now. I called them to ask about the wrong name and price and was told their a secondary marketing, whatever the hell that is, and that I purchased someone else's tickets and that they are good tickets. I just hope I can use them and get my 5 yr old granddaughter in to see the show or she's going to be very disappointed and I'll be very mad. What kind of people would do this to kids!!! Was anybody denied to go see the show using the tickets?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I CAN TESTIFY TO THESE SCAMMERS AND PUT THIS METRO ENTERTAINMENT OUT OF BUSINESS. I WANT TO GO AFTER THESE PEOPLE.

I don't have a complaint. The secondary ticket market is in place to protect consumers. Look at tickets for the Yankees on Metro's website. Field level seats over $100 under face value!!! You don't complain to Wall Mart when you purchase a candy bar for $1 when they paid only a few pennies for it. If you actually read the terms and conditions it says TICKETS MAY BE PRICED AT OR ABOVE FACE VALUE. The secondary ticket market acts just like the rest of our country's economic system which is supply and demand. Why don't people complain about Super Bowl tickets when they pay over two grand for them?

I was told the ticket price per seat was $86 each for this show and when actual tickets arrived the ticket price was $23 each. 267% mark up. Misleading is an understatement. I hope the government finds a way to shut this ticket scalping operation down and charge those involved with fraud. I am sure that letters to state officials in Connecticut will help expedite their fall.
