The Woodland of Cresthill charged me over $2,000 to move into there apartment complex. They said the bill was for security/pet deposit plus first months rent. When I moved out I didn't think anything I just thought since I gave them notice that I would be leaving everything would be fine. Except my security deposit for braking a lease early, even though I had good causes. (bug invasion & crime) I cleaned my apartment really well even shampoo carpets, cleaned frig out, etc.. it was spotless. Months passed when my credit score dropped. I seen a $3200 bill from the Woodlands of Cresthill. That is a lot of money. I had never received a bill prior to this it was a shock. I didn't know what to do about it. I called the Woodland to discuss it with Lupa the owner and her reply was sorry we sent you a bill. (click) This was back in 2008/2009 I really didn't think I could do anything about it I had no proof, no documents. I just had this bill on my credit report that didn't even explain what for. I was only 20 and it was my second place. When I thought it was to late my uncle told me if I would have went and fought it in court I probably could have won. I was so depressed this debt stood in my way from owning a house which was when I found out about it. I really did not want to pay it because I felt that it was unfair and I did not deserve this kind of treatment from anyone. I paid my bills on time, kept the place clean and gave a 30 day notice. Now they are getting sued. All I ask for is please take this off my credit like it never existed. Also if anyone has anymore information on the matter please let me know were to go to find out the progress...I was in such I hurry to fill out the forms and send them in I did not copy the document. |
