The Weapon Works They took my deposit and incurred charges by doing nothing and would not release my property unless I paid them fees for doing NOTHI |

BEWARE!!! Don't ever do business with this company - EVER. I dropped off a malfuctioning pistol and paid a $50 deposit to evaluate it. After weeks of no response, I called and was informed that they could not fix it and sent it out to the factory - WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. They said they can "do whatever they want". After the factory did not fix it, they returned the pistol to Weapon Works after TWO MONTHS, in the same condition. They called me and I went to pick it up. First, the employees are all angry and nasty. They said I had to pay for shipping charges that I did not authorize - I did not authorize them even to send it back. I could have sent it to the factory by myself; what did I need them for? They said they can do whatever they want and incur whatever charges are necessary in their discretion. They said if I wanted to take my property I had either to pay the unauthorized shipping charges or over $250 in labor they said they performed, which of course accomplished nothing. So after 3 months, I had the choice to pay $25 in shipping (on top of the $50 deposit) or pay the $250 of labor that did NOT fix the pistol at all. They said they have unilateral discretion to perform all the labor necessary, regardless of time, to work on any pistol. And they disclosed no hourly rate to me or discussed what they intended on doing and an estimate of time and cost. The other reviewers on the internet confirm this exact experience. Hopefully this report will prevent others from doing business with this shop. This is no way to do business with customers. Even when the customer is not right, they should be treated with respect and given the benefit of the doubt. That's what reputable businesses do. But when customers are being directly mistreated and made to pay fees without anything in return, there is simply no excuse. They should not be in business. |
