About a month and a half ago my husband and myself heard from a family friend about the fast and easy services of Self Help Legal Documents and were refferred to Mr. Patrick Morris to do our services. We called Mr. Morris on a Friday and asked him if he could help us out with filling out our bankruptcy paperwork. Mr. Morris then set up an appointment for Saturday (the next morning) so we can have a speedy turnaround and get filed ASAP. We were told that he would charge $250 a piece and he would do an EMERGENCY filing with the courts at no extra charge and he would have us filed by the following Monday. We were instructed to get him certified funds (cashiers checks), get all of our bills together so he could fill out our paperwork and to do an online pre-bankruptcy course. We did everything on our end to get our information together so we could meet with him the following morning. When he arrived we signed a contract together stating he would do our services for $500 to file bankruptcy. The form never did state that he would do an emergency filing (which was our mistake for not having him add on, although we did have a verbal agreement). He then told us he would do our paperwork, he had a meeting with another couple the following day nearby and he would bring by our filled out paperwork Sunday evening to have filed by Monday. We are almost 2 months in now and we cannot get ahold of Mr. Morris. We have tried calling him numerous times (which he avoids the call and sometimes texts us back after screening the call) to only set up an appointment for which he never shows nor contacts us to let us know that he is not showing up. The first time he told us he was stuck in Colorado Springs and it was raining hard. We told him we could postpone for the next day since he was not going to make it. The next time he set up an appointment he told us his father had passed away. We totally understand losing a loved one, but again we received no phone call or text stating he was postponing. We attempted numerous times contacting so I waited a week and called from a work number. Mr. Morris answered and I stated who I was to which he set up ANOTHER failed appointment that he was a no call, no show. He did however text stating he was on his way after he stopped by his house, but I guess had no motivation to call to let us know he was not coming. He is not reliable to do services and please beware if using!
